Special cutting for extra thick webs Bombi has developed a unique machine specially designed to cut (cross cut & slitting) very thick webs, without distortion, without stopping the line, without accumulation… without problems.

• It is known by everybody that the guillotine cutter will deform the webs if they are thicker than 150-200 mm. And other cutting systems need to stop the web during the cross cut. 

• With this new machine cutting is achieved with large sharpened disk running on a carriage across the web with the carriage moving with the web during the  cut

• With our solution, the web is cut perfectly, with a vivid and sharp angle and no visible deformation on the web. The cut is made without stopping the web and without changing the speed and no accumulation is required. 

• On the model now under construction the web thickness can be up to 270 mm. The machine is also equipped with a high speed slitters, with 700 mm diam disks, to cut in continuous the web on the other sense. 

• Automatic sharpening devices il all blades are installed.
