RECENT INSTALLATION OF LARGE DRUM OVEN IN COMPANY DOMO (NOW CAPSTIC), BELGIUM

 

  • The machine consists of a 3m diameter x 6m wide perforated drum, used for thermosetting needled felts. 

 

 

 
  • A large fan sucks the air from the inside of the drum and returns it to the outer surface, in a closed loop, after being heated by a burner.This is in order to achieve maximum production in the least occupied space

  • Production speed: 40 m\min
  
  • On the outer edges of the drum, two rounds of pins are used to keep the felt stable during processing. The pins position can be adjusted while the machine is running, with their settings displayed on the control board.

 

  • Heating is made via an industrial gas burner and the air flow is regulated via inverter, to process light and heavy felts (100-2.000 gsm) 
 

 

  • A special heat recovery system is installed within the smoke exhaust system, to recover the discharged heat and make the whole system more economical.
